Charitable Donations, Huntersville, NC
Here at Hope House Foundation, our mission is to help women facing situational homelessness get back on their feet. There are never enough resources allocated to homelessness prevention services, and a large percentage of those resources are earmarked for the most vulnerable populations, such as individuals who are suffering from chronic mental illness, recovering from substance abuse challenges, or escaping from abusive situations. While it makes sense to concentrate support efforts towards these very vulnerable people, it can paradoxically leave those in less dire straits high and dry. This is where our team comes in, as we focus our support on women who simply need a place to stay until they can figure out their next steps. But in order to continue providing our transitional housing assistance and other services, we rely on charitable donations from community members like you.
The charitable donations we receive go toward keeping our transitional homes up and running. The first and largest of these, Hope House, consists of 4,000 square feet of energy-efficient living space, including two levels, six bedrooms, and a learning center. Your generous donations have also allowed us to open three additional cottages, called Faith, Joy, and Grace, to further expand our program and offer a supportive environment for our residents and their children. Charitable donations also help us fund case management, career support, and life-skills training programs, as well as affordable housing placement, to help the women we serve here in Huntersville, North Carolina make positive, lasting changes for themselves and their families.
