At Hope House Foundation, our mission is to give women facing situational homelessness here in the Huntersville, North Carolina area a hand-up, not a hand-out. Our organization was founded by Dr. Lee Beth Lindquist, who realized that there was no temporary housing support system for women who simply needed a place to live while they got back on their feet, so she set out to create one. The women we serve are not facing chronic mental illness, recovering from drug or alcohol issues, or escaping from abuse—rather, they’ve fallen on bad times and just need a place to go while they sort out their next move.
